The new and improved Version 8.0 is more personalized, intuitive, optimized and takes integration to the next level. Each new release of KRYSTAL™ DMS brings new features and product improvements. The following is a summary of the new or improved features that were added in the KRYSTAL™ DMS - Enterprise Edition Version 8.0 release that support the implementation of the paperless office. KRYSTAL™ DMS - Enterprise Edition offers all benefits of Standard Edition with significant additional features that go a long way in document management for medium to large businesses. NEW - Web Services APIs
KRYSTAL™ Document Management System includes a full Web Services API, which allows programmers to develop custom solutions based on the KRYSTAL™ Document Management Software.
Using the Web Services API, you will be able to create new applications and integrate your existing applications into KRYSTAL™ DMS. You will be able to perform functions such as retrieve documents, search for documents, and upload new documents with great ease. You will also be able to build advanced applications and connect in-house or third-party applications to KRYSTAL™ DMS.
NEW – Static Index List
KRYSTAL™ Document Management System now provides facilities for the users to define static values for particular indexes. Users can define list of values to be linked with particular index and user can choose values only from that static index list.
NEW - Export Search Results
KRYSTAL™ DMS - Enterprise Edition Version 8.0 now allows users to download the search results or complete list of documents in a document class along with indexes and metadata in Microsoft Excel and Adobe PDF format. Notes / comments associated with the document is also downloaded in the same file.
Enhanced - Document Viewer
KRYSTAL™ DMS - Enterprise Edition Version 8.0 now supports AUTOCAD (DWG and DXF) documents. Users can view their AUTOCAD documents from directly within their browser using KRYSTAL™ Document Viewer. It also provides functionalities to view password protected PDF documents.
Enhanced - Document Search
Users can now also search documents basis, expiration date along with filters such as empty index or non-empty indexes and unique Document ID along with File Name.
Enhanced - Document Management
Administrators can now delete unwanted document indexes from document classes and can also reorder the indexes in document classes.
Enhanced - Document Notes
Users can now define notes to be Publicly accessible or can mark them as Private for their own usage and tagging purposes.
NEW & Enhanced - User Interface
The latest version provides rich user interface and easy navigation. The new workspace screen allows users to access document classes, document views (DocViews), Document Sets, Workflow Queues, bookmarks etc from single location. Document Class usage statistics are now displayed in graphs to enhance management view of the system.
